Saturday’s Scorchers Skills & Miniball is a ‘learn to play basketball program’ for Girls & Boys aged from 5 to 9. This program is player centred, fun based and games oriented. It is the best introductory sports program in the Blue Mountains and you can start right now!
FIRST WEEK IS FREE - try before you commit.
WHO: BOYS AND GIRLS AGED 5 - 10, depending on skill level
WHEN: SATURDAY’S - 9am to 10:30am
WHERE: Blaxland High School Sports Centre, Coughlan Rd, Blaxland
COST: $63.00 annual registration and $5 per week
COURSE INSTRUCTOR: Louise Gleeson
This is a DEVELOPMENT program that provides a “Learn to Play” skills session, followed by a miniball game also focusing on ‘learning whilst playing’. This is one of our more popular programs and there are limited places – get in soon and make sure you bring your friends.
As players develop their skills they are encouraged to progress to our regular domestic competition. This is done in consultation with parents and children.

UNDER 10 & 12 MIXED COMPETITION FOR BOYS & GIRLS
S&DBA will run an under 12 mixed competition starting on the 8th September 2009.
The under 10 & 12 mixed competiton will be held on Tuesdays from 5pm till 6pm. The children will do skill development for 30 minutes. They are then split into teams and play a game with referee’s. This way they are learning skills and also having actual game experience.
Cost: Cost is $63.00 yearly registration and $5.00 per week.
