Coaching Courses

Level 0 Basketball Coaching Course

This course is designed for club level beginner coaches.

Participants are not required to have completed any other courses as a pre-requisite for this course and no practical experience is necessary.

All domestic competition coaches are required to have a Level O Coaching Certificate.

Dates for 2008 level O Coaching Course

The Level O Coaching Course will be instructed by BNSW recognised assessor and State Coach, Stuart Jones. It will run over two days, each session being 2 hours only.

Session 1 on Wedensday 20th August 2008

Time:     7.00pm till 9.00pm

Venue:   Blaxland High school Sports Stadium

Session 2 on Sunday 24th August 2008

Time:     3.00pm till 5.00pm

Venue:   Blaxland High school Sports Stadium

Level 1 Basketball Coaching Course

Candidates are required to have completed their Level 0 coarse before proceeding to Level 1.

They are also required to have completed (either before or after the course), and have verified, 30 hours of practical basketball coaching. This will include time coaching during training sessions and competition games.

Dates for 2008 Level 1 Coaching Course 

The Level 1 Coaching Course will be instructed by BNSW recognised assessor and State Coach, Stuart Jones. It will run over a period of four days.

Session 1 on Sunday 24th August

Time:     5.00pm till 7.00pm
Venue:   Blaxland High school Sports Stadium

Session 2  on Wednesday 27th August 2008

Time:     7.00pm till 9.00pm
Venue:   Blaxland High school Sports Stadium

Session 3 on Sunday 31st August 2008

Time:     3.00pm till 7.00pm
Venue:   Blaxland High school Sports Stadium

Session 4 on Wednesday 3rd September 2008

Time:     7.00pm till 9.00pm
Venue:   Blaxland High school Sports Stadium
